2) How we use your information
provide and operate the Service (accounts, authentication, collaboration)
maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce Terms
improve quality (including QA and ML model evaluation)
communicate with you (service notices, security notices, support)

3) Public and shared information
3.1 Contributions and dataset releases
Your Contributions may be used to create public datasets and ML models. Where a dataset release includes
Contribution-derived data, it may be published under an open license (for example, CC BY 4.0).
We recommend you do not include personal data in Contributions (names, addresses, or other identifiers) in free-text fields.
3.2 Usernames and attribution
If we enable leaderboards or acknowledgements, your username may be displayed publicly. We plan to add an
anonymity toggle; until then, please choose a pseudonym if you prefer not to be publicly identified.
4) Legal bases (GDPR note)
If you are in the EEA/UK, we process your personal data based on:
contract (to provide the Service you request)
legitimate interests (security, service improvement)
consent (where required, for example certain cookies)
5) Sharing and disclosures
We may share information with:
service providers (hosting, databases, monitoring, email delivery)
professional advisers (lawyers/accountants) as needed
authorities where required by law
a successor entity in a merger/acquisition (with appropriate safeguards)
We do not sell personal information.
6) International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live (for example, where our hosting
providers operate). We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards.
7) Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as necessary to operate the Service, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
Current defaults (subject to change as we formalize policy):
account data: retained while your account is active; deleted or anonymised within 30 days after a deletion request
logs: retained for 30 days
Contributions: may be retained indefinitely in aggregated datasets and releases (including after account deletion), but may be de-identified where feasible
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9) Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
access your personal information
correct inaccuracies
request deletion (subject to exceptions)
object or restrict certain processing
data portability (EEA/UK)
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

10) Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a new version with an updated date.
